The Born Loser by Art & Chip Sansom Brutus: It's that time of year again! Brutus: June marks the start of television's summer rerun season, when most of the networks run repeats of the previous season's programs... Brutus: The networks use this opportunity to maximize their profits without having to pay to produce new shows! Brutus: And I always give them a pass - dutifully watching all those episodes I've already seen! Television: We begin with breaking news on the blizzard, which is bearing down on us. The city's stockpiles of road salt are very low, following last week's snowstorm... Television: Later in sports, our Super Bowl preview will profile both teams' quarterbacks! Brutus: Reruns of the evening news is carrying things way too far!

not really……the same stuff happens just about every day.

Not anymore they don’t run reruns. We now have 4 seasons of tv … Summer and Winter which are 8 weeks each. Fall and Spring which are about 12 weeks each. That leaves 12 weeks of reruns in between the other four seasons.

When one channel goes to reruns, watch another channel’s reruns.

Not only that, but the Super Bowl previews for next year begin right after the final whistle for this year.
