Gladys: I see you're all ready for bed. Did you remember to put your towel in the dirty laundry hamper after your bath? Wilberforce: There was no point in doing it. Gladys: Why not? Wilberforce: It wasn't dirty - I only used it to dry off after I was all clean from my bath.

Wiber’s got a point. For the same reason, I use my towels multiple times before throwing them in the hamper.

That makes sense, excessive, unnecessary laundering is a big waste of energy & wears out the fabric faster.

I save my towels by not taking baths, ever! Showers yes, baths no.

Any time you subject your skin to warm to hot temperatures, what does it do? Sweat, right? Does it stop sweating the instant the water stops hitting it? I think not. So running that towel over yourself is absorbing more than just the shower water. Wash your towels people.

Then again, what if you take a relatively cool shower, as I do. I do wash my towels regularly, but not every time.

You would think towels AND showers would always be clean. Somehow, it just doesn’t work that way.

I use towels twice then put them in the hamper (after hanging them to dry). Wet clothes in the hamper for a week can mold.

My wife and I will use towels (separately…we’re not THAT close) twice a day for 2 or 3 days before replacing them because we’re getting them more wet than dirty.

towels take a lot of water to wash we only wash them about once a month in winter and every two weeks in summer. when you wash your cloths a lot they’ll wear out sooner

That makes sense. We reuse our towels a couple of times too. Saves money on laundry.

Let it dry before you put it in the hamper or you’ll have mold or mildew.
