Oh wow, thanks Chip. I had completely forgotten about the Ides when I woke up this morning! Sad to say in these modern times most of us are more afraid of the April Fools Day that is to come in two weeks, than we are worried about today’s troubles.

Brutus would never be disloyal to his Caeser, but would put in his time, all the while hoping Veeblefester will change. RV of course fails to see that side of Brutus. If he thinks of loyalty at all, it would be as a weakness rather than a quality.

How appropriate. Thanks, Brutus, for reminding it’s time for my pooch’s heart worm pill.

Too much strong coffee will do that – shakey nerves. Lay off the Caff Brutus. Our old military “mud” back in the day had ya eyeballs dancing.

Brutus you should be concerned about a lot more than just the ides of March. There’s the whole rest of the year that’s likely working against you.

Since I began reading this comic, I’ve wondered how long it would take for The Sansom brothers to invoke this line. Shakespeare must be rolling over in his grave…. and would be rolling his eyes if he still had them.

Sometimes things turn out OK even during the Ides. I have had a better day than expected.

To bad Brutus wasn’t around to warn my parents in 1955. I was born on the Ides of March!

I fight hard to resist saying it, but I think Brutus et al are crazy to avoid insanity. Some American Indians believed leaving them alone was wise so to avoid angering the Great Spirit. Occasionally they bring as little light into the world.

Just in case anyone feels safe now that the Ides of March is past, here is the definition from Merriam Webster: "The 15th day of March, May, July, or October or the 13th day of any other month in the ancient Roman calendar.

Broadly: this day and the seven days preceding it."
