    So Brutus is her “starter husband” and Mother Gargle thinks it’s time to trade up?

    It would behoove Gladys to have Mother Gargoyle get on her broom and just – fly away!! Now that would “save” a bucket-load of money!!

    There doesn’t seem to be a lot of thought about what Mother Gargle is proposing. Cutting the Thornapple’s sole source of income might make stretching their monthly budget a wee bit tighter than it already is. …and THIS is how Mother Gargle is looking out for her daughter’s well being!

    That would be a weight loss program not fiscal responsibility.

    Well that would force our hero to get a second job just for child support and fuel o get both jobs. You said “for richer, for poorer” now put on those big girl panties and put Mother in her place…..or get out her checkbook.

    Evicting her spiteful mother would cut a whole side of the budget.

    I don’t think he’d enjoy getting splitted in two, plus his boss doesn’t get enough of him at work when he’s whole any better the she does. :}

    How about getting rid of the old battle axe? That would be one less mouth to feed. Looks like she holds her own at the table.

    Watch out Brutus – I smell a part time job a coming, coming round the bend. Glady’s does not have time to work. She is busy entertaining busy body mommy.

    Yeah, that’ll work just fine, Momma Gargle. Gladys and Wilberforce can move in with you and live off your social security.

    Obviously Mother Gargle never studied economics. Brutus may be a major expense, but he is also the sole source of revenue.

    Can’t blame MIL. She knows it’s either her or Brutus, she sees the writing on the wall, and is now entering “survival” mode.

    I am so glad my son-in-law and I have a good, friendly relationship. We have never had a mean comment to each other and hopefully never will. Ditto his parents and my daughter. My child was well aware that when you marry, you marry the whole family, and she is very happy with her choice. Brutus doesn’t feel the same way.

    I’m not sure cutting a person that has a full time job makes fiscal sense assuming that his paycheck is greater than expenses.

    Yes, by all means… let’s remove the sole bread-winner from the household. Good thinking there, mom.

    You know? That bitch should be banned from the house that Brutus has provided through his sweat and tears. If any relative had disrespected my mother or father, he or she would have become persona non grata. (My late parents ALWAYS stuck together no matter what.)
