There doesn’t seem to be a lot of thought about what Mother Gargle is proposing. Cutting the Thornapple’s sole source of income might make stretching their monthly budget a wee bit tighter than it already is. …and THIS is how Mother Gargle is looking out for her daughter’s well being!

That would be a weight loss program not fiscal responsibility.

Well that would force our hero to get a second job just for child support and fuel o get both jobs. You said “for richer, for poorer” now put on those big girl panties and put Mother in her place…..or get out her checkbook.

Can’t blame MIL. She knows it’s either her or Brutus, she sees the writing on the wall, and is now entering “survival” mode.

I am so glad my son-in-law and I have a good, friendly relationship. We have never had a mean comment to each other and hopefully never will. Ditto his parents and my daughter. My child was well aware that when you marry, you marry the whole family, and she is very happy with her choice. Brutus doesn’t feel the same way.

Brutus brings in the income, Mother Gargle.

I expect she is secretly running for office.

I’m not sure cutting a person that has a full time job makes fiscal sense assuming that his paycheck is greater than expenses.
