And that’s the last time you’ll ever see this car for a repair.

I owned a Honda Accord 2007 hybrid (Made in Japan) and the battery quit just after warranty. Honda service quoted me $4000 for replacement. I told them to go ahead and replace it. When I picked it up there was no bill. Honda paid for it after warranty!

How do those parts know it has been three years or 36,000 miles?

I can picture Brutus going for one of those Extended Car Warranty services that are endorsed by “celebrities” and bombard you with TV advertisements every day.

It figures!

He probably had the part from day one and waited for the expiration date before installing.

Pay attention to warranty period. Keep a list of problems with anything covered. Take vehicle in just prior to coverage ending. Anything reported while warranty is in effect is covered until repaired. No matter how long it takes.

now hold wait the minute here? Hope that don’t mean that he now has to pay cause if that’s true then he should ask for a refund for taking so darn long to get it.

It’s that 90% of mechanics that give the honest 10% of mechanics a bad name.

Time to buy one of those dang warranties that they keep advertising on tv. RIP OFF!

We bought a Chevy van that was customized. The window washer didn’t work. Found out they were out of the parts at the factory so when we got rid of van it never had a window washer.

The bill is:$4,200. $200 for the part, $4000 for labor. Cha Ching!

I once bought a car exhaust on a special deal. It cost me twice as much as usual, but it meant I could have it replaced for free each time it was needed. I think they hoped I’d be like normal people and change my car after a few years, but I keep mine until they either die or start getting expensive to maintain. They regretted me ever getting that plan. Saved me a lot.

Wouldn’t matter. The car was brought into the dealership in time and there should be no charge for the part or installation. However in the world of Brutus, certain laws don’t apply…..

I had that happen to me once – only it was a refrigerator. The ice-maker if I remember correctly. Service appointment was just past the expiration date. Never shopped there again.

That repair shop must specialize in born losers.

He’s kidding Brutus, get rid of that thought…

I used to take my (at the time) two adorable but unruly beagles with me for car maintenance at the dealership when I was working and had very little free time. They always managed to finish any work in record time. Now when I take my therapy dog, we seem to be there a lot longer so everyone in the dealership gets to spend a few minutes with her. Now I have the time, so it’s all good. I have doctors who almost will not see me if I don’t take my dog with me. They need a few minutes of joy too.

Dude’s wrong. This time our Born Loser is going to win one. Unless Brutus stays on brand and turns the other cheek (beware Brutus – he who turns the other cheek ends with matching bruises!).

I seem to remember a call about that.

Most of the bill on that one won’t be for repairs but for knowing what to repair.

Shouldn’t matter because the part failed while it was under warranty. Warranties are about as solid as Veeblefesters promotion promises.
