Nice boss you’ve got Brutus! I’d find another job, instead of being constantly put down all the time.

I’d say he’s ert, getting more unsteady by the day.

Being inert is a steady state…

What Veeblefester doesn’t grasp is that by being inert, our hero Brutus isn’t making matters worse!

Brutus constantly opens himself up to be insulted! If I knew a boss didn’t like or didn’t care for me, I’d avoid them like the plague!

where is this Ert and how did he get in it?

If it weren’t for the portrait of himself on his desk, poor chief would be all alone. Makes me wonder if he has a family. I imagine the chief being divorced multiple times, and every time it was the woman’s fault.

Well someone who is an Absolute Zero would be inert.

This is definitely bullying. If he’s that bad, he would have been fired ages ago

This is the whole premise of ‘The Born loser’. Ya’ll sit back and enjoy the comic and thank your lucky start hat you are not Brutus.

Bossman could’ve said, “Brutus, you’re as steady as a rock, and just as hard working.”

Inert would be a better “Executive” than most… ☺

That’s a very unkind thing to say to Brutus.

Boss most definitely has a strong sense of ego as demonstrated by his own picture on his desk, probably because no one else would want him. He also has few, if any, personal management skills. That being said, Brutus could never be called inert as he is really a lynchpin in the company’s day to day operations in spite of a few errors that occur along the way….

In my opinion I would say a good executive is rather an upstart, challenging, go ahead, listen and try new things kind of guy.

Veeblefester should give Brutus a raise just for being such a good straight man because he would never be able to serve up those zingers without him.

I guess Brutus has never heard the phrase, don’t poke the bear.

“Gladys told me”, Brutus thinks, “Keep hinting and maybe Veeblefester will eventually promote you, but it’s getting harder and harder”, but she also said Never give up"…

I’m surprised he even still has a job for how bad he is at his job.

Ok Brutus, seize oh that as a strength! And if you want to mess with his head say, “Thank you sir!”

Keep asking, Brutus! Maybe Bossman will be stunned into silence someday.

i think i probably would’ve gone with “torpid” or “lethargic.” maybe “sluggish.” definitely not “inert,” because he’s still showing faint signs of life…

I wonder if the boss is any good in bed.

Brutus is lucky to have a boss with a sense of humour even though he doesn’t show it. His boss is also kind enough to keep him in a job; or maybe he just keeps Brutus on so he can insult him without fearing retaliation.
