I’m surprised the old skinflint pays for cone cups. I’d have thought that he would make his employees supply their own. Maybe he charges for them?

I doubt it has been that long… his legs would’ve looked much bulkier strength wise. :}

The smile on the Chief’s face (the Chief smiles at something other than his money bags?!?!) in the first panel should’ve been a warning to Brutus that a zinger was coming. But I’m shocked beyond belief that the Chief is actually drinking from the same source as the riffraff!!!

Poor Brutus, if our hero isn’t on the receiving end of vituperative remarks from Mother Gargle, he’s getting them from Veeblefester.

Chief V. drinking from the common watering hole? How quaint. Or is he just cheap? Brutus, hang on buddy, another 15 years or so and you can retire. Course Mother Gargle will be a family live in by then. Future looks bleak err bright.

my first boss was a great one for motivation by aphorism. one of his favorites was “if you have 10 minutes to spend, don’t spend it with someone who doesn’t.” he appeared to think that my time management skills were wanting… ☺
