Places going cashless are a great savings to me. If they don’t want my cash, they don’t get my business.
Of course WHEN (not IF) they get hacked and the hackers get my personal information and use my credit card fraudulently, the business claims no responsibility.
It used to be that retailers would require a minimum (say $10) to use a credit card. COVID changed that. The other day I was buying something and after coupons I owed $0.38. They didn’t even blink when I used my credit card.
Hey, you give them your card, but they give it right back to you (I actually heard this from a guy in a video who had no concept of credit cards and had witnessed transactions in the US. He was from the jungles of South America)
Call me old, but I prefer using cash. especially for anything under $20. It’s easier for me to keep track of how much I’m spending. You keep putting everything on a credit card and the next thing you know you owe more than you have.
Dream on, kid, dream on. You’re on the the card world, now. Some places are saying to use your smartphone to swipe your phone over their sensor. Cause you’ll need that app, or you’re hip and I’m not.

I once went to a casino that was cashless. You pay cash for a card and you gamble but now you’re not handling money so you lose track of $$ spent!

We are cashless, you don’t see the price and did we mention the surcharge for using a credit card?

Great eyeroll Brutus! And nice homage to the late great Euclid Beach Park Chip! Maybe it’s no more because it was indeed literally “cashless”!
