Popeyes4armChill bro Chill.I’ve been that way since reading “Selling of the President 1968”Best book I ever read. Covered how all this is spoon fed to us because THEY believe us to be morons. The Electorial College picks the President not you the common voter. In 1968 Nixon lost the popular. Won the Electorial. Next President.Nationally you have little if no influence. Your true power comes citizens by voting locally, state, city, county. THAT is your true power. Senate or Representative is still national. They will promise the moon then jump because they have to follow the powerbrokers already there. Everything is get to be the head of some important committee. Then you can throw you weight around to get some personal agenda done.
Politicians all have people give them money to run. Do they give the money for free? You know better because if you dont then good luck. I am not complaining because I enjoy this freedom. No jack boot (yet) is kicking down my door because I say this stuff. You are right and I learned it years ago. Nothing is going to happen if you just sit and complain. You have to get out there and do it yourself. You can only take care of what you can. I cant save New York but I can do my job here and save what I can here. I can donate money but does it get there. (Check the stats you may be surprized) All these famous people jumping on the band wagon to raise this and that. See how much of this and that gets to there. Bono was such a hypocrite. I want to raise issues about this and that. Please give money to fix it. Is Africa fixed? Where did all that money go? Bono dont know and does not care. He is rich and famous living the high life. You think he would care about you.Politicians are the same way. Oh we will look into that. Wait we will fix it. I laughed so hard at FEMA telling residents in New York to CALL and make appointments. WHAT CALL PHONES ARE DOWN. POWER OUT. They are at the front door and get told that. FUNNY in such a sad way.Hang in there Popeye4arms.As my old Sergeant in the Army use to say:“I am too old to cry. I think I will just get drunk.”
