I’m not sure whether the sign language is real….

but I’m pretty sure Righty is outraged because the hands in the book are …. shown together…. and…. um…. naked…

Actually I suppose he just has too much time on his…. well… his hand….. cos he’s not employed full time like his brother Lefty.

I am impressionable, I think I will try these hand sign around town today and see what happens.

Not touching those signs, nope, not at all.

He only has three fingers. The hands in the book have four. Cartoon hands usually have just three fingers because that is an easier way to draw a hand and because cartoon hands with four fingers look weird.

Fingers have no taste.

The Chicago Tribune ran the bumped May 26, 2014 Argyle Sweater strip instead of this one.

They have an extra finger, too! Scandalous.

At least there isn’t a finger slipping into a hole made by another finger and a thumb.

I have never heard of Hamburger Helper, but after some research, I have decided never to use it due to the additives and preservatives. One could make perfectly good burgers without it.

What?? I’ve never once seen Susan show anything remotely close to hatred. You’re entitled to your point of view, but that doesn’t include personal attacks…

The first one looks a little like the sign for “dance”, but that is usually done with the left palm flat and the two fingers of the right hand moving back and forth (like dancing). The second isn’t anything I recognize, but I’m certainly not familiar with EVERY sign.

The first sign (if done horizontally) is walk. The second one is almost the sign for institute, but both of the pinkies should be out, not just one.

Cos, I feel terrible if that’s really what you think, but…. I honestly don’t understand it.

I don’t hate anybody: I avoid arguments on this site, and almost never express anything in the forums that could be called a point of view.

Tigger, you are dead wrong on your post. Susan is a favorite of the posters. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt that you meant to reply to a poster named Susan on the editorial comics and somehow your comment ended up here. Here at the regular comics we don’t lob personal attacks at other commentators. Heck, I don’t believe in personal attacks on the editorial comic pages either.
