Well, if you hit them with pepper spray, they’ll sneeze. That will cause them to uncoil and sprain the heck out of their entire body. It’s non-lethal, but it takes weeks to recover from it, and it’s funny as heck to watch.
Maybe you could use an a salt rifle.
