Fireflies are toxic to most amphibians and reptiles! Unless you prepare them correctly… Be very careful not to puncture the ovaries or liver when filleting the firefly and you’ll probably be OK…
I figured fireflies would taste very bitter!

I’m just wondering because Fireflies (Lightning Bugs) are a type of beetle.
Also: Fireflies will probably only provide a truly light meal after sunset.

I ate at a restaurant called Fireflies last night. Really good BBQ!
They both look like they could stand to pass on more than a few flies.
They need to find a place without the “No shoes, no service” rule.
