My favorite cocktail back in the 70’s!!!
Tax dollars at work!
I wish I could have helped with the research.
I thought the first was “buying” the island from the “Indians”.
Developed with the aid of the nation’s preeminent Mixologists.
Raised the bar of weaponry I imagine!
Development of a more pleasant way to get bombed.
A DARPA creation? It would not have been very good after all, the Pentagon always goes to the lowest bidder for its’ projects.
Eh?
A drink yes but not a liquor
sweet or dry vermouth?? ummm… and can you use something other than Luxardo cherries??? ( asking for a friend… :D )
I thought they might have been working on a response to the Molotov cocktail.
You don’t want to shake either, either.
The Manhattan cocktail should be stirred, not shaken. You water the drink down by shaking it. (Side bar. A Martini {Gin} should also be stirred.)
I’ve drank a Long Island Ice Tea. That’s close, isn’t it?
The Putin version substitutes polonium for the bitters.
The predecessor of the the martini lunch.
Not to be confused with a Stankville Falls Fizz which has two parts apple jack, two parts vermouth, a jigger of maple syrup and a prune.
Good one, Scott! Thanks for the chuckles today.
Best served in a new, clear glass.
I prefer my Manhattans with Korbel brandy. In other news, I was born in May 1943, and shortly was on my way from Madison, WI to Oak Ridge, TN.
Groan. And way too much of a stretch even for this comic!
Then Douglas Adams developed the Pangalactic Gargle Blaster.
I grew up in Wisconsin so only Brandy Manhattans were served. I was probably about 11 or 12 years old when I started mixing them on a daily basis.
the research was so tedious, it drove them to drink…
My favorite cocktail…use Elijah Craig for your bourbon….
