How do I get a job like that?

There’s one way to fix that. Our company blocks those social networking sites.

This one’s going viral today, count on it!

I had a few of those employees in our company. And that was before Facebook. They never had enough hours in the day to get any work done. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Friend of mine used to work for a contractor who was, shall we say, embedded with federal employees on a nearby military installation. Every day, the same thing: The feds would play cards until about 4:25; then someone would announce ceremoniously, “Would you look at the time! We’ll never get everything done by 4:30,” at which point they’d all start working and put in for overtime. Contractor took it upon himself to round up and throw out all the packs of cards he could find; next day even more packs of cards would show up. Now, I know there are a lot of fine, diligent, even scrupulous fed employees out there (and such was my kid brother until his retirement last week); but these guys give fed workers their bad name.

I never wasted time with social media at work — I was too busy reading GoComics!
