Bernie Sanders is the last true hope for our corrupted to the core government for that reason the corrupt Democratic establishment will never allow him a fair shake or equal support in the primary .
Lennie, here’s my take on it (as a Bernie supporter): a mobster approached a preacher one day, and said, “I’d like to give a million dollars to the church.” A parishioner, overhearing the conversation, said to the preacher, “But that’s the devil’s money!” to which the preacher smiled, held out his hand, and said, “The devil has had it long enough!”
No matter what you say politically, people are going to pounce and you will get both sides of the argument. The worst thing that could happen is a shut down of the conservation. Silence is worse than a heated discussion. If I were to avoid all points of views, I would have to limit my reading to Family Circus.
It used to be that you weren’t supposed to discuss sex, religion, or politics at the office. It’s gotten to the point that you can’t discuss them in public now, either (I’ll include the non-private areas of social media as part of the definition of “public” now).
I find that if you ask an opinion, you’ll get one or two answers then the fight starts in long seemingly unending paragraphs of accusatory statements against whatever the answer was.
It’s pretty easy to make a statement, then step back as the hilarity ensues.
. . . I find, that I’m more influence by logic than insults. I don’t like the yelling, it causes me to change channels. I don’t like the stupid way that trump “talks down” and lies to US. Perhaps, I should wait until who will be running and who will be their running mate? :o
You learned the wrong lesson. The correct one is, don’t get involved in political discussions online. I extend that to “at all”, but that’s up to the individual.
I say nothing political these days except in a private group my friends and I have, we’re all rather independent and have been called hippies. My family, sadly, are mostly Reps. My dad would sometimes say my grandpa wouldn’t like my stand on some issue, and I’d tell him it wasn’t Grandpa’s Republican party anymore. The last few years of his life, he voted by person, not straight party line. I was so proud of him :)
So a Socialist calls you a commie to insult you? Ha! That’s rich. According to the fathers of Communism, a country has to pass through the blood-soaked enslavement of Socialism before it can be pooped out the other side as Communist, a result that has never been achieved anywhere at any time in history. So, if a Socialist calls you a Communist, shouldn’t that be high praise?
Nice rendition of Bernie. Basically It’s Bernie vs Corporate status quo….and like comics, the perception is purely subjective. Those who like it, like it, those who don’t, make sure to tell you how stupid you are to like it.

Does anyone else thing Bernie resembles Dr. Zaius?
Of course he would take the money.
Given the option between principles and a pound of cheese, a hungry person would take the cheese.

If you don’t ask questions to all the people who are running for office, it means you are too stoopid to vote.
