No chance of her mistaking you for Calvin Klein back then.

You must have died of embarrassment! I was 10 in 1967 too. But I promise, that wasn’t me…..unless you mistakenly ended up in Girl Scout Camp. LOL

We’ve all been there, my friend! At least your story gets to bring a chuckle to every once-awkward camp kid years later. Most of us just have to stew in internal humilation for life :D

Long ago the cartoonist H.T. Webster had a running series under the heading “Life’s Darkest Moment”. This would be a worthy candidate, though Webster was obliged to make his points in a single panel (albeit sometimes with a bit of backstory text).

The Bowl Cut may actually make a comeback. But remember, If you wore it once you shouldn’t wear it again.

back as a teen, I believe 13 as I was in 7th grade English, I dropped a maxi pad on the floor in front of the entire class. Luckily no one said anything, and I went on my way to the bathroom. But I still wished I could disappear for the rest of my high school career. Cut to now, umpteen years later and I occasionally leave the steam cleaner for my Diva out to dry on my bathroom counter. It can lead to some interesting conversations for sure… but I no longer wish to disappear. I just wish it would dry faster.
