Right on. I love when the depression medicine side effects include depression, heart – heart attack or stroke, warning that if you are allergic to the medicine stop taking it. Duh.
I’m diabetic, and was on the drug Farxiga for over a year. One of the possible serious side effects was bladder infection. Guess who ended up in the hospital? That’s right…me. I ended up with sepsis! I was feeling fine on a Saturday, was admitted to the E.R. late Sunday night. Was in ICU for 5 days. Now when my doc says, “let’s try this med”, I reply, “Do I have to?” I was put on Ozempic, and suffered all the stoopid side effects in the first 2 months! I wanted to get off, but she didn’t let me…said something about it could be bad for me to quit…really? Could it be worse? Well, I’m still on it, still don’t like what it does to me…
For me, depression and anxiety were much worse than the side effects of Paxil, which were temporary, except for one: weight gain; I’m coping with that the best I can because it is still preferable to the dark place I was in.

George Carlin had a routine about that. The side effects were worse than the illness the drug was supposed to alleviate.
