Reminds me of my last driver’s license photo, taken during the 2020 Covid pandemic, after standing in line 2 hours, half of which was outside in 40 degree weather, after which I was told it was in order to make an appointment for a photo secession, come back 6 hours later, wait in line another hour, told I had to open my eyes wide, that’s why my photo looks like it does.
“The end or so she thought " sounds ominous. I can picture her turning back into a bat and flying away. I love the picture face. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
In high school, I was on the newspaper staff. The “photogs” would sometimes need to finish a roll, so they’d be snapping random pictures. Occasionally they’d get a funny one in the staff room.
