Heard a radio program about a family who went from talk show to talk show ‘being’ whatever that show needed that day. They’d be compulsive liars one day and drug runners the next and whatever Jerry Springer was yapping about the next. Apparently that’s a career choice now.
Oh, dude, that last part sounded soooo sad…. In my mind it sounded like:“My wife and I have adopted four girls and a boy, plus we’re fostering another boy and a baby girl. The girl will probably stay, but I don’t really like the new boy.” :-(
SOmetimes when pollsters call me, I go through the whole routine, and when they thank me for participating I tell them that every answer I gave was a lie.
Oh, Doc, I wasn’t criticizing you for not adopting the second dog. I understand perfectly. I was just saying that the way you said it originally sounded a little harsh. Let me in integrate the new info into my analogy and you will see how things completely change: " We are unsure about the second boy because he appears to have been abused and is special needs. With six other adopted child and our severely disabled 24 year old biological child we have our hands full, so we are afraid that we will not be able to provide the extensive attention that the boy desperately needs. But we are working with Child Services and with a foundation specialized in treating abandoned children with severe special needs trying to locate a more appropriate family for this boy. Meanwhile, we believe he is better with us than in a state institution. " See? Now you are a hero, albeit a very responsible one. Same case, just more information.
