    Hobby horse. Country matters. And all Ophelia’s flowers. If you read Shakespeare, you really need a well-annotated edition. (And that doesn’t even mention the “English” lesson in French in Henry V.)

    Once you learn the language – which just takes reading about half a dozen in a well-annotated edition (I recommend the Signet paperbacks), Will is easier to understand than many if not most modern playwrights.
