It’s actually great. I love being able to listen to the old classic (and not so classic) radio shows.

Just like with any other medium, all shows from the Golden Age of Radio are not equal.

I like all the old science fiction shows, myself. Trying to get into all the old horror shows, now, but I can’t get as enthusiastic about them.

A friend of my dad’s once told me that I could ignore it when people told me that ‘my’ music was bad. He himself was told by his mother that all his Tommy Dorsey records were of the Devil. Mostly ‘cause they weren’t her generations music. His generations wasn’t so happy about Rock and Roll. My dad’s generation hated the splintered genres or Rock that I listened to. Unfortunately, all this means that everyone is doomed to grow up and think of the next generation’s music as trash. ‘Cause it’s not OUR trash.

Those old “classics” are never quite as good as you remember them to be, are they?

Yep. I set my computer up to record 8 hours of shows from the likes of yesterdayusa.com, 1710 Antioch, etc. every day. I end up deleting a bunch of junk I can’t stand listening to, stuff I’ve already heard, and a whole lot of programming I just don’t have to time to listen to.
