I can think of several answers to Eddie’s question: lanes for cars, lanes for bikes. Lines for cars to stop at when the lights are red. Crosswalks for pedestrians. Curved lines where two lanes of traffic can turn left onto another road.

I’ve been driving for 50 years now. Seems the 20-somethings have no idea about rules of the road, much less how to handle their vehicle.
