I figure the people that answer the phones anywhere are probably tired of hearing more than they absolutely have to. “Hi, I’m calling from my house on the South side of town, on Mulberry drive, you know near the corner where the Wendy’s burned down a couple of years back? And well, I went down the driveway in my robe this morning where my paper is usually thrown by the guy that brings our paper who drives a white pickup? And it wasn’t there, and I looked and looked, and I kinda waited around for a while thinking he might be delayed or something…” instead of “My customer number is 56359. I didn’t get my paper this morning. Fix it, please.”
