Well that’s just wrong. Old CDs go in the bedroom, old remotes go in the basement, and old magazines go by your chair in the living room so you can look at them every day and regret your life choices.

I’ll throw out your old junk if you throw out my old junk…

My wife did something sort of like this during a big cleanup. Hence the cartoon. Of course, she doesn’t recognize herself in this one, either. I wonder how many of us have done this to someone else with no idea we did it. I’m probably one… I can’t recall.

For “stuff to read when I’ve got the time” I have a rack in the toilet. When there’s no more room I toss out all that is generally read, or is not worth finishing, or wasn’t interesting enough to even browse.

Sometime my partner has a different opinion on those categories. Usually we end up with even more space.

And now the debate ensues as to what the definition of junk is.

After 23 1/2 years we’re moving. Not downsizing, just down-junking. It feels SSOOOOO good to throw stuff out! (Yes, it’s mostly my own.)

I think Sarah is a new candidate for an episode of “Hoarders”.
