I listened to a radio program, and the psychologist was describing this phenomena. He was also remarking that this isn’t just something that happens to older people, it’s actually the act of walking through a doorway that resets something in the human brain which causes us to forget automatically. As soon as we go back to where we were before, it triggers you to remember again. The way to deal with it is to speak aloud what you are going to get or do, which plants the idea into the other half of our brains, making it more likely that we will remember it when we go through the doorway again. Human brains are WEIRD! LOL
