Nice try, Sarah. You’ll probably have to resort to buying something on Oct. 31.

The colorist missed to read the text while splashing color. Larry says orange not yellow.

Those things? I haven’t been trick-or-treating in 60 years, but I still remember getting too many of those and always trying to trade them away.

My wife says smarties are too much like pills and with the fentanyl epidemic she doesn’t want us to hand out anything that might resemble a drug. So chocolate it is!

They say that you ate what you eat so I ate a lot of smarties

    Doesn’t seem to have helped

I think the chewy blobs have 0.1% peanut butter.

I saw a video where someone did an analysis on buying patterns to try and figure out why certain candies sell well at Halloween. His conclusion is that it was price. People wanted the cheapest candy they could get away with giving out to the local kids. Tip, M&Ms is the best balance between price and quality.

Those chewy gobs are great! Or at least they were when I was a kid. There were only a few families with kids in our tiny hamlet, plus kids from nearby farms, and fewer than a dozen houses for us all to trick-or-treat at, but everybody gave an abundant variety of treats. I can see being disappointed with candy corn or chewy gobs if hardly any treats were given in your neighborhood, but all the kids I knew loved loved having them among our Halloween booty.

Smarties aren’t good, anyway. No taste to most colors.

I love those black and orange wrapped peanut butter taffys. I get them from dollar general for a buck a bag. YUM.

Don’t knock it. When I was a kid one of our neighbors handed out Rolaids. Maybe he thought we’d need them after all the other candy.

We use to pretend Smarties were pills and we would eat them to feel better. They were one of my favorite candies growing up along with the candies on the strips of paper.

Not the best candy, but I still ate them. Maybe this year someone will do something devious like hide good candy inside of them.

I remember a peanut butter taffy that was wrapped in orange and black wrappers back in the day. They were really good.

Ewwww…. no. Even the black & orange wrapped blobs get eaten before candy corn and smarties.

my daughter and her hubby wanted to be the cool people with full size chocolate bars, but kids didn’t come to their door. Most went to the school or church for parties and then went home.
