For instance, I’m banned from Discord. I have no idea why, and they won’t tell me. All I did was log in once, say “hi” to the people I knew from another website, and log out again. Three months later I went back to do it again, and I was banned.
Hotmail shut down my email account. They said I was spamming other people. All I was doing was going into my account every few weeks, marking the spam as spam, and logging out again. I didn’t send ANY emails, never mind spamming anyone. In order to recover my account, I had to give them a cell number they could call to give me a secret code. I don’t own a cell phone, but that’s the only way they’ll do it, so no more email account for me! Remember the olden days when you needed a driver’s license to rent a movie? It’s as stupid as that.
The internet is stupid and it’s run by stupid people and I hate everyone. Now I’m gonna sulk for 10 more seconds, then go read another comic….
Every time you want to do something, you have to make another account. I must have 100 of them by now. But here is a new thing. To sign into SocSec or IRS or other government agencies, you now need to make an ID.me account. They do everything but take a DNA sample. Now here is the irony. We’ve been told over and over and over not to use the SAME password for different accts. BUT now you have to do that for all the government agencies!! Only one sign-on for all of them!!
I have one device I use on the Internet, but my banks and credit unions can’t remember it’s identity for more than a couple weeks. One of them is so picky, I have to use the first instance of my browser to connect. If I use the second one, it gets rejected.
I corrected people on Yahoo too many times, when they lied about Trump. Now, if I try to post anythiing, I get that it failed, okease try again. It doesn’t matter what computer I use or where they are located. That is their way of banning people.
