Ah…I remember the good ol’ days, when we recited that in class every morning. I THINK it was just the first grade. I don’t recall doing it after that

Isn’t he the cutest little patriot? Reminds me of me trying to remember lines to a song at that age.

Well kids are a little out of practice.

I think this captures the real way every student has understood the pledge they were forced to bleat out in unison. I’ve long thought it should be “I pledge to uphold the Constitution for which this flag stands…..”; and leave out the “under God” part….

That’s about right.
