The Elderberries by Corey Pandolph and Phil Frank and Joe Troise for June 13, 2007
Transcript:
The Professor: Evelyn, would you like to join Boone and I at the movies? Evelyn: Oh, that sounds nice. What are you seeing? Boone: Some Fellini film the Professor suggested. Evelyn: Oh, maybe not. I'm not a fan of subtitles. Boone: Wait, there are subtitles? Professor: I understand, Evelyn. Four hour foreign films are not for everyone. Boone: Beg pardon? Did you just say four hours? Evelyn: Ciao, gentiluomos.
In the first panel, the supposed professor asks is Evelyn wanted to join “Boone and I” which should be “Boone and me”. It would be correct to say that “Boone and I are going to the movies”. But he used “I” incorrectly.
