I love SOS. First had it in the Air Force in the 60’s.

Chipped beef on toast, aka SOS, was something I really liked about the military.

when my son was about 4 (50yrs ago) we were having creamed chip beef on toast and when go up on the chair and looked at his plate he said there was dog food on his plate. But the military changed him 18 yrs later.

When I was in the Marine Corps, we referred to it as “Sh!t on a Shingle”. I agree with pearlandpeach’s husband!
