Uh-oh… I’ve done the same thing at Winn Dixie. Interesting side note: the check out clerk is a quite talented ventriloquist. In panel 3 you can see how he throws his voice so it’s coming from the Professor!

Dusty’s aging body(or anybody’s body) really didn’t need bacon rinds anyway

If my store card tells the store about my shopping habits they have a funny way of showing it. Everything they’ve ever carried that I really liked, they’ve stopped carrying.

If my shopper’s card reflects my buying trends, why am I getting coupons now for Enfamil and diapers when I’ve never bought anything even remotely related to babies?

Even if they do keep track of shopping trends, that shows up as the coupons that they offer me when they print my receipt. If the coupon is useful, I use it. If not I throw it away. All they keep track of are my grocery lists and shopping patterns. I do not think I have anything I am trying to hide, or that I am ashamed of. Nor do I think it is part of a dark conspiracy on the part of the multi-national-industrial shadow government. (But it might be!)

I relate to what celecca said. I keep getting ads for adult diapers and laxatives and I haven’t bought any of those either.

They have a card for everything. In addition to store cards I have 2 movie cards for AMC & Regal that lets you earn points for free movies & concessions

This is not the first time Corey has messed up the direction of dialog balloon tails.

I don’t know what stores everyone shops at, but at my local Safeway (Hi DoctorToon!) and King Soopers, you can get a store card without revealing any personal information. I’ve done it. (FWIW, the other major local chain grocery, Albertson’s, dropped cards a few years back.)

And if for some reason the store inisists on info, lie. Put down a fake name, false address, etc. It’s not like it’s a crime.
