Most folks didn't have money to go out to eat...I remember...my momma would give me a nickel to buy day-old bread if they had any. Girl: What if the store was out of bread? Dusty: Well, momma would spread butter on our hands and tell us to lick it off. Girl: No way!!

I remember my aunt had a gadget that removed the cream from the top of the milk. Tea in her house was always thin.
