Evelyn: I'll be right back, General! The General: Hmph! That's twice in a row Evelyn's beat me, Dusty! Dusty: Yup. The General: I think she's cheating. Dusty: Shush! Here she comes. Okay! Three out of five takes it! Ready....set...
When I was in high school, a classmate had a crush on me. He started asking me to arm wrestle every now and then. I was a strong, wiry, country girl (with 5 brothers) and I always won. Friends and family teased me that he just wanted to hold my hand. (Which perhaps was true). But he kept asking too long, until I lost patience and pushed him completely down to the floor. (In front of other classmates.) Of course he was humiliated, and he stopped asking. But I have felt bad about that, and if I could do it over, I would not humiliate him again.
