I saw my first bumble bee for the season while watering my petunias. I didn’t see it time so I got it soaking wet. The bumble bee was fine.

‘bumble’ meaning to hum, buzz, drone, or move ineptly or flounderingly. The generic name Bombus

We have a Palo Verde tree in the yard and since I planted it at the end of April, the bumble bees (as well as others) have become frequent visitors to it. I’m glad to see the pollinators personally.

About as stupid as the birds running into the windows of our sunroom. Sometimes they knock themselves out

Obviously, Bumbling Bee is new at the game, and his “touch and goes” are not a pretty thing to witness, as Gunther observes for us out here on the other side of the Fourth Wall….
