DAD: Why dont you move your family to las Vegas? You can buy the house next door for a song!! KK: BLLFFTT KK: are you serious?! Dad: Vegas is wonderful place to raise a kid! The only thing between here an and the local casino is an adult book store!! DAD: what? you got a problem with literacy?!!
Dunno how serious you’re being but as a Vegas local I’ve come to the belief that one’s core personality and upbringing play a far bigger role in how one turns out than one’s geographical location. Kids don’t see gambling at the stores, they see shiny lights.
Having said that though, the relative uniqueness of Las Vegas hit me pretty young. I recall being about 13 and going to the movies with my family in L.A. and my brother and I looked around and asked my dad “Where’s the casino?!”
