The Truth Urban Theater Group and a grade school in Brentwood are working together to make and give thank you cards to NYC police as a way to initiate conversations between the police and the communities in which they are stationed. Hopefully, other schools and community groups will make this a wider project.I do not know if the theater group is named after Sojourner Truth, but hope so since she is a hero for me ever since i first read about her work toward getting equal rights for all people.
