This one is actually cover for a change behind the scenes. Starting this week I’m technically producing the strip in color, even though it’s going to be black and white for the dailies simply because color images don’t exist for a lot of photos I use (like the Jubilee Portrait of Victoria, which is the one I commonly use) and I was not satisfied with my one attempt to colorize a photo (that of Edward, which I sometimes use in the Sundays but try not to). I’m doing this because the program I use (Photoimpact) has features that only work in RGB True Color mode, and there is a bug that keeps text from being anti-aliased correctly the first time out. So I decided to produce in color.
While I was doing that I thought I might as well re-do my four panel structure with a newer, cleaner one. So this week’s mishegoss.
