Back in the late 40s and early 50s there was a morning program from Chicago, “The 400 Hour” sponsored by the Northwestern RR. Norman Ross ran it. Heard things like “The Battered Bride” and “Schwanda, the Doodlesack Piper”. Nice classical music before work. He could also get serious as needed.
