And stupidity..

Didn’t take much, did it?

I live on the coast.Every time I see a whale blow, or spy-hop, or breach, or sound and show flukes it still gives me a thrill.When you see one close in, and you see just how big they actually are, it makes you feel quite small.An elephant is large. A whale is big.If you ever have an opportunity to see a whale in the wild, don’t pass it up.

They are hunted because the uber-wealthy show off by serving their friends whale meat – thereby saying they can afford to serve animals killed by countries like Japan, Norway and Iceland who have no decency but a lot of greed.

I went on a whale-atching trip to Mexico and visited the nursery for many whales. We were in inflatables and the whales were quite friendly. One mother brought her calf up to the boat and encouraged it to get closer. It refused and dove under us. We got a very gentle whaler’s sleighride!

And now 4 the bad news!

The one thing I’ve never thought to apologize for is being at the top of the food chain. Matter of fact, I’m glad I am!
