They should consult with chipmunks. I driven over hundreds of chipmunks, but have never hit one. I think they know to duck.

Or talk with the lemmings. Oh, wait…..

I ran over a small squirrel several years ago. I still regret it.

I saw a groundhog dash across a 4 lane road yesterday…and he made it! I was so relieved.

Actually, groundhogs can run pretty fast. They can outrun our Border Collie.

Why – when you are on a lonely, deserted desert highway – do the creatures decide to cross the road right in front of you??

If they really would dash across the road they’d be fine, but they have to dash halfway across the road, a quarter back, over into the other lane, and back into your lane before splat.

It must be a Squirrel version of the Hank Williams Jr. song – Family Tradition:“Hank why do you drink? Why do you roll smoke?Why must you live out the songs that you wrote?Over and over everybody makes my predictions.So if I get stoned, I’m just carrying on an old family tradition.”
