I live out in the country in south central Texas. My dogs have spent countless hours watching little lizards. Squirrels? Only until the coyotes get them.

Our dog is so inept that the squirrels ignore him.

Our dog shows zero interest in the plentiful squirrels around here. They pretty much ignore him, too.

I really love TOC, and the running dog-squirrel-stereotype-gag is funny, too. But that seems to be a mere northern American phenomenon. We have dogs and squirrels in Europe too, but our dogs don’t appear over squirrel-addicted. Rabbits, yes.
