No paradox at all. If you were an alien intelligent life form, would you want humans to know about your existence? No way! Stay hid! Invent planet-size cloaking device! Don’t talk above a whisper!
The only life we can look for is like the life we already see. But every time we look a little closer, that life shows we haven’t run out of possibilities.
