CONSTI COMICS 1787 Man #1: ...and so, we shall establish an American government built upon the highest ideals of democracy! Man #2: Yes, with judicial restraints on executive power, such as HABEAS CORPUS, the right of the incarcerated to request a hearing! Man #3: But, good sir! What if we could imagine a DANGER that could possibly stem from such a request? Man #4: Then FORGET IT! Obviously, if there's some chance of DANGER, all these foofy rights are OUT THE WINDOW! Man #5: I must disagree! Did we not just face EVERY DANGER POSSIBLE in order to advance these principles, when we fought against the BRITISH? Man #2: SHRIEK! The British! Man #1: Interrogate this man! Man #3: And torture him! And spy on everyone! Judge Scalia: See, kids, our brave forefathers founded this country on lofty ideals... ...but knew they should never be applied during times when war, crime and evil exist on the planet. CONSTI COMICS NEXT: In this time of war, should five loony-liberal judges retain their "right" to out-vote Judge Scalia?
