Guys even wore shorts above their knees back in those days.

On the other hand, back in ‘73 you could spend a week or more in the hospital and come home to find that your insurance (whose premiums were 100% paid by your employer) had covered the entire bill. All considered, I’d put up with the sideburns and polyester leisure suits and Frye boots and bell-bottoms to get that back.

This is the type of medical care you can expect to receive at the Martin Van Buren Medical Center.

Also, you were less likely to survive if you had cancer, heart disease or…just about anything fatal. But it didn’t cost you.

You’re off by a least a couple of decades. Ducktails where long gone by the seventies.
