    I say we sacrifice it to Hun-Nal-Ye to fund research in bloodletting as a method to alter climate. If we can reduce our GNP enough, the rains will return. It worked in the Sahara, and it can work here.

    The people are living too well and their comforts are too great already. They need to sacrifice more and suffer in the present to preserve the future.

    If only people could see the logic in tightening their own belts and providing the already super wealthy more money so they can hide it off-shore where it may not get reinvested in America. Some silly people actually think increasing disposable income for middle-income people will drive the economy through increased demand. Don’t they know the Bible says money is for rich people?
