The entire US electoral system is designed to make it easy to discourage people from voting. Make registration and voting attendance compulsory and a lot of the toxicity will go away.
Susan Collins would excuse Nazis convicted of war crimes in Nuremberg because “they learned their lesson”. If you seek a Nazi in every conceptual way, look for the little “R” after the name.
Given the vicious political games that Trump has been playing with the distribution of badly needed medical equipment among the state governments, much too close to reality to be funny. And speaking of state governments, now I await Mr. Bolling’s take on the by turns corrupt and incompetent shenanigans of establishment media darling Gov. Cuomo in New York.
Gah! A cameo appearance by my state’s senior senator! I used to respect her years ago, but come November I will be voting against her reelection, by mail.
It’s not just COVID aid of course. Floods in Michigan have wiped out entire towns and left thousands homeless … and the President of the United State’s first response was not “how can I help?” but “how can I use this to block mail-in voting in Michigan?” If you have a disaster in your state between now and November, I guarantee you aren’t going to see any aid unless your governor sucks up to Trump.
The Extortionist in Chief is going to realize very quickly that his tried and true methods of strong-arming and gaming the system is going to backfire in this case – much to the dismay of his gunslingers and MAGA morons!
When Don the Con says “Many people say…” you KNOW that he’s been listening to the voices in his head again! Not to mention the voices coming from inside his ass, like Lumpy Hannity and Moscow Mitch McTurtle!
I love the crossed-arms pose of Li’l Donnie: weak people ALWAYS resort to pathetic gestures of pretended strength. And, of course, as all intelligent people know and all honest people admit, Trump is a compulsive projector, in addition to being a compulsive liar. It turns out, year after year, decade after decade, that Trump himself has ALWAYS done the things that he accuses other people of doing. Kind of makes you wonder about that Morning Joe thing, doesn’t it?
Trumpocalypse: Restoring American Democracy by David Frum:
"`I don’t take responsibility at all.` Those words of Donald Trump at a March 13, 2020, press conference are likely to be history’s epitaph on his presidency.
A huge swath of Americans have put their faith in Trump, and Trump only, because they see the rest of the country building a future that doesn’t have a place for them. If they would risk their lives for Trump in a pandemic, they will certainly risk the stability of American democracy. They brought the Trumpocalypse upon the country, and a post-Trumpocalypse country will have to find a way either to reconcile them to democracy – or to protect democracy from them.
It is not enough to defeat Donald Trump on election day 2020. Even if Trump peacefully departs office, the trauma he inflicted will distort American and world politics for years to come. Americans must start from where they are, build from what they have, to repair the damage Trump inflicted on the country, to amend the wrongs that, under Trump, they inflicted upon each other."
You do know he voted in his favorite state Florida…..by mailing in his ballot! Something about pots calling kettles names. Don’t do as I do….do as I say…on Twitter kind of thing. And he has done it 10 times! True news.
So it’s concerned bad form to ask legal citizens to present a legal desire to take the time to vote in person by an easy to not fake an I’d on whetor not they can in fact be actually legal to vote or even possibly be able for voters can have something set up at their place of work or near somewhere they could go to and access a retina scanning machine but I’m just happy being able to live in a country where I was able to serve and help others that stayed and were able to rest their heads another day safely but like I said that’s just my thoughts on it
