Wasn’t that arch used in “Once Upon a Time in the West”?

Sounds about right to me. I’d give them an A in my class… for creative writing!

So in order to build an arch, you need a tortoise the size of it. OK, makes sense…

That’s not exactly wrong. Except that giant tortoises don’t travel that far north, normally. Would have gotten a better grade if you’d used your Dad’s VW Bug, from back when he was still a hippie.
