Here’s what I love. 1) The snow shovel in panel one. 2) Spud’s thoughtful hospitality and Rose’s response in French in panel two. And that the scones are in a domed cake plate. 3) Leather-bound books in panel three. And Wallace’s huge ol’ random amazing self.
Apropos to nothing, a while ago I launched two surveys about Will Henry’s followers: where are you from and how old are you? The results were Interesting/fun. I’m trying to think of another one that wouldn’t be ageist, sexist or racist. Any suggestions?
Space Goblins are called “Gretchens”. They are servants to the Space Orks. Its believed they accidentally created the Space Orks and became the servants of the bigger, powerful, and a lot less intelligent Space Ork. Gretchens do menial tasks like Gargant crew, and the like, but often “Kit Up” and form their own combat forces. They don’t fight very well, though. They are green skinned, about 4 feet tall, and thin. They have long noses, weak chins, and pointed ears.
When I was a kid we would burrow in the mountains of snow the plows would leave and make great forts. We never reached Spud levels of comfort and civility though.
Spud making a move on Wallace’s girl. How is Amelia going to take this? Definitely not lying down I presume. Spud definitely has class though; may not have a long life, but he has class….
66 but just on the outside; Texas; for the quirkiness, details and all the art, and the characters, especially Wallace; M.S.; all animals are more intelligent, emotional, and social than we imagine, so it’s hard to pick a favorite—African elephant for now; coke; Wallace the Brave, Peanuts, and Safe Havens; dry and DUSTY.
Terra, USA, Houston, 64, Human male, Germano-Scandinavian etc.‘Favorite animal’: Tiger, octopus, kangaroo, mantis-shrimp, mantis, Gorgonops, dragonfly too many to list.
And now all I’m going to think about for days is nice, fresh, lovely-smelling leather-bound books being slowly ruined as snowmelt and condensation water drips on them from the ceiling of an igloo…

I want to know just what books those are. Bound copies of “Gourmet” magazine? Or, more likely, “10,000 Pizza Toppings?”

Will Henry has made reference to Macanudo before. The 2 have a tie-in today. (the scones)

One of those three must be a Time Lord. That snow cave is much bigger on the inside than the outside.

It’s not a question of what we know about Space Goblins, but what we don’t know.

He’s a space goblin, bet you weren’t ready for that!

In real life, most kids wouldn’t be gushing about the books but rather the absence of a tv or computer…

Spud is dangerously close to being cooler than Wallace. At least in Rose’s opinion.

If you ask ME, ROSE would be a much better match for Spud.

Love today’s color palette. Always a delight to see the strip bloom after checking the grubby little shadow version in the newspaper.
