Amelia: “Those quarters are mine. All mine.”

The doughboys are just lookin’ for a little dough. However … I gotta say … those grins are mighty … something about eating.

I would say that is a firm NO from Amelia.

If there’s any quarters in my parents’ sofa cushions, I have permanent dibs.

Amelia’s giving no quarter

I found a quarter in the house somewhere and I don’t know what to do with it. I never carry change anymore. On the rare occasion that I use paper money and get change it goes into the tip jar or a charity box.

Any real pinball machines still out there, or have they gone digital.

As a child, countless ages age, I would search under the cushion on my father’s favourite chair, searching for loose change. My older sister and I concluded that Dad purposely “salted” the chair as a way of giving more allowance money, without actually doing so: he made us “work” for it.

Best place to find money when I was a kid was the parking lot of the tavern down the block. All those tipsy people fumbling in their pockets for keys..

Under the bleachers at local sports venues the morning after a night game…

I am imagining Amelia saying “Make like a tree and leave.”

I wonder why?

Wallace has quite the opening line, “Can I go through your couch cushions?”! Just what every girl wants to be asked!

Spud would follow Wallace’s search looking for any Cheesy Poofs! for Seagull.

I think it’s rather stingy of Amelia not to share in the couch-cushion treasure/scavenger hunt!

They could offer to rake up those falling leaves for a buck or two, but I guess that lacks panache.
