Great contrast here. Sid says “Maybe a short rest?” while Ben say “I’ll be fine. I have to be.” Raw talent vs perseverance. Those two should work together after this is over; they would be the best wizard team ever.
This story line is really giving us a lot of the deeper characteristics and feelings of these characters. And in an amazingly interesting way. Good story-tellers are priceless.
Ben’s character began as an OCD, perfectionist, easily annoyed young man who was super grumpy about being forced to work with a sullen, messy, uneducated magic-user and his “handler.” Now he’s beginning to mature and show strength in character and strength of will.

I just adore what is happening in the background! And poor Sid will not want to explain why he let Wolfe fall asleep on his watch.

Perhaps Sidney should let Wolfe do some actual talking… Oops! Too late! Wolfe down!

You have to admire Ben’s fortitude to keep going through Sloth’s influence. You do not have to admire Sid’s storytelling skills (or lack thereof).
